Usually full-bodied and golden yellow, they have an assortment of sweet both plant and diary flavors.

Sauternes and Barsac in France

Sauternes is usually a sweet and well-balanced wine made primarily from the Semillon grape blended with Sauvignon Blanc and Muscadelle.
The grapes undergo a change from developing botrytis cinerea (noble rot) which shrivels the grapes, concentrating the sugar and flavor, resulting in notes of honey and nectar.
