Bourgogne Aligoté is a light white wine blessed by high levels of acidity. People in Burgundy drink it young as Aligoté, which is sold cheaply in France is not a wine that can age such as others.

Aligoté stands for a white grape name used only in Burgundy. However winemakers are allowed to add up to 15% of Chardonnay grapes.

The production of Bourgogne Aligoté is decreasing years over years as people are going more after Chardonnay these days.
