F09052008. 14.0%. 100% Pinot Noir. Opened up after 3 hours. Densely dark fruit scented wine with oak characteristics. Medium-bodied, a restrained palate of clean washed cherry flavors and medium doses of acidity and tannins and a short to medium finish. This was apparently a very well-regarded vintage for Ata Rangi; but I thought so otherwise. Drink from 2006 to 2009.

Smooth and elegant, this almost medium-bodied wine is in her prime with good notes of red fruit - berries, strawberries, leather giving the palate a velvety mouth feel with softness, integrated tannins and a short to medium finish.
