This triggered a great many wealthy people to order the immediate transfer of their fine wine from stored in facilities around europe into hong kong. unfortunately, regular people have yet to see significant drops in prices in restaurants and shops around town. if hong kong is to become a true wine hub, its distributors and retailers will have to go the distance to build a rich wine culture by providing real incentives to consumers. this must be achieved by further lowering prices and sponsor more wine tasting events and educational activities. other than that, hong kong will only become a transit warehouse of no particular interest for any wine distritbutors.
